Valvular

  • Infective endocarditis 
  • Rheumatic heart disease 
  • Congenital bicuspid valve 
  • Aortic valve calcification 
  • Myxomatous degeneration of aortic valve
 
Aortic Root

  • Dilated aortic root - Marfans syndrome, Ehlers Danlos syndrome 
  • Dilatation secondary to hypertension
